I survived the weekend. And all things considered, it was a good one. I worked with a good crew and that is always a good thing and makes for a good weekend. I was supposed to work today, but got put on-call, so I am totally okay with that. Hanging out on the couch in my jammies is a welcome break today.
I found out a tidbit of info yesterday that is really causing me some angst. It is an issue that I thought was resolved over 6 months ago, but it is about to rear it's ugly head again. I apologize for being so cryptic, but I need to be. I am struggling to know what to do at this point, and am relying on prayer to get me through. I know of no other way. I am hoping that a recent change in management will be a good thing. If not, well, I could be looking for a job elsewhere. Hoping and praying for the best.
The weather is beautiful and I am thinking that later today I will take the kids swimming. What a wonderful day for it. Maybe I will even post pictures.

To whine or not to wine...I think I will wine!
Daily? Yeah, right. As soon as I made my last post, we went camping for the long holiday weekend, and upon our return, my computer got some kind of nasty virus that has taken my techie husband the better part of 4 days to almost get rid of it. And now I head into a looooong weekend of work (read:12 hour shift after 12 hour shift x4, or is it 5?). Excuses, I know, but it's how life goes. I should probably figure out how to post from my blackberry. I will put that on my rather long to do list.
I have a mountain of laundry to fold. I am not exaggerating when I say mountain. The 5 of us go through a lot of clothes. Add 2 dogs and the hovoc they reek, and well, what can I say. I hate laundry. That, and dishes, is a job that never gets done just as soon as you think you have washed the last load, there is more. Ugh. Maybe someday I will win the lottery and be able to pay someone to do it for me. Pipe dreams, I know. Just one of those frustrations that come with motherhood. I guess, it could be worse....
Wow, the tone of this post is nothing like I had intended. I sound like a whiny, complaining, I-don't-know-what. Time to pull myself up by the ol' boot straps and get the job done. Hopefully then a quick glass of wine, and then off to bed to get up at the crack o' dawn to welcome new babies into the world. So here goes nothing.
Later, gators!

She's baaaaaaack!
I bet you thought I forgot about ya'll, didn't you? Okay, so there isn't that many of you (hey, Mel! How goes it?), but that, along with the obvious lack of posts, is my fault. I could say time got away from me, I have been busy, etc, etc, yada, yada, yada. Excuses, excuses. Mea culpa. My bad. Once again, I will try again. Getting back up on the horse, again. So here goes at another try on the old blogging wagon.
I am done with the first year of nursing school. The 4.0 is still intact. Yeah, baby! Dang it was hard. A lot harder than I thought it would be. One more year to go, and rumor has it, it will be even tougher. Yikes! I just can't wait to be done and have those wonderful two letters after my name that mean more money. (I hope!)
This kiddos are done with school after today. I am taking my oldest to his first concert tonight- Nickelback. It will be fun. He is so excited. I remember my first concert- Metallica. My mother's first concert was Sonny and Cher. I would have loved to have seen that! How times change!
Gotta run- taking the youngest in to the doc. She has a sinus infection. Yuck. I hate antibiotics, but nasty noses and sick kiddos are even worse.
My plan is post often. Maybe even daily. Yeah, daily, uh, eh, um, okay. Here's to trying!

Fatigue
I. Am. So. Tired. I can not see straight any more. Work, school, home, family. All I want to do is crawl into bed and not come out for a few days. But tomorrow I get to battle a snowstorm to drive to class, only to battle the same storm to get back home to do home work that never seems to end, and housework that most definatley doesn't end but needs to be done because the cable guy is coming on Thursday to connect us to a new system that I will probably never get a chance to watch. I am sure the cable guy couldn't give a rat's patoot about the state of my home, but I do. And right now it looks like a pit. And this is only a drop in the bucket in what all I need to do. Just the thought makes me tired.
I am not complaining. I'm just sayin'. I am tired. I am going to bed now. Good night.
